Description

Root cause analysis techniques help internal auditors uncover the underlying drivers of inefficiencies and ineffectiveness. These techniques both strengthen audit recommendations and enhance the overall impact of internal audits.

This event will introduce practical analytical methods for the internal audit community, including techniques such as the five whys and fishbone diagrams. The event will also address key considerations like common cognitive biases that can influence the effectiveness of root-cause analysis.

Participants will gain actionable insights on applying root cause analysis to improve audit quality, mitigate risks, and deliver more meaningful outcomes throughout the internal audit process.
