Description

To tackle complex scientific and societal challenges, the Government of Canada must foster collaboration across disciplines, institutions, and geographic boundaries, while strengthening how research networks form and evolve over time.

This event features Dr. Shiri Breznitz, who will explore how targeted government funding initiatives are reshaping collaboration among researchers. Drawing on her research examining principal investigators involved in a regenerative medicine funding program, Dr. Breznitz will highlight how interdisciplinary fields bring together scientists from areas such as biology, engineering, computer science, and ethics to advance new approaches to scientific discovery and innovation.

Participants will gain valuable insights into how government programs and professional dynamics influence the formation of new partnerships and new scientific networks.
