Description

As stewards of public trust, public servants play an important role in supporting the integrity of Canada’s information ecosystem. This online self-paced course provides strategies to recognize, prepare for, and respond to misinformation and disinformation in the workplace. Participants will examine the importance of finding and sharing accurate information and how these strategies strengthen public trust.

Topics include:

  • acknowledging the role of public servants­­ in maintaining public trust
  • exploring the challenges of finding and sharing information in the public sector
  • recognizing the impacts of misinformation and disinformation at work
  • identifying actions to respond to misinformation and disinformation in the workplace

Notes:

This course is part of a two-course suite which also includes Untangling Misinformation and Disinformation (TRN506).
