Description
Fire extinguishers are the first line of defence that can prevent costly damage and, more importantly, save lives. This online self-paced course identifies the various classes of fire and explains how and when to use a portable fire extinguisher to put out a small fire in the workplace. Participants will learn about the different types of portable fire extinguishers and fire extinguishing agents, as well as their proper storage location and use.
Topics include:
- protecting employees and preventing property loss from workplace fires
- reviewing the regulatory requirements for portable fire extinguishers
- responding to a fire in the workplace
- storing portable fire extinguishers
