Description
Everyday work habits, workstation setup, and early intervention play key roles in workplace safety and comfort and in overall well-being. This online self-paced course explores the foundations for creating and maintaining a healthy, comfortable, and effective workspace. Participants will learn about the federal legislative approach to occupational hazard prevention, as well as the risks and responsibilities associated with office ergonomics.
Topics include:
- understanding how ergonomics supports workplace hazard prevention
- identifying the early warning signs of common ergonomic risks
- using movement, posture variation, and “micro-break” strategies
- adjusting workstation components to support movement and comfort
- recognizing roles, responsibilities, and available ergonomic points of contact
