Description

Data hubs are cloud-based repositories where data is organized and presented for open access by all. Data hubs can contain many different types of data, including statistics, administrative data, and data visualizations on topics like social trends, economic analyses, and the natural sciences. Across the Government of Canada, data hubs are helping advance the federal Open Government initiative and Digital Standards, which aim to make government information more accessible to everyone.

This event, which is part of the Data for Impact series, will showcase how data hubs are being used within the public service and how they support the renewed federal Data Strategy. Through the theme of ‘enabling data driven services’, participants will gain new insights into data stewardship, the transparent sharing and use of data, and the ways in which government aims to improve access to and user experience with data.
