This event recording of the sixth session of the Government of Canada Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Conference 2022 features a panel discussion by individuals from various faith-based employee networks, sharing their experiences and ideas on how to overcome our misperceptions, implicit stereotypes and unconscious biases about religious minority groups in the workplace.

This online self-paced course explains ways to develop your emotional awareness, or emotional quotient (EQ), by learning how to actively listen to and empathize with others as a way to acknowledge other people's emotions. Participants will explore strategies for building emotional intelligence and learn how to apply them within their organization and to their workplace relationships.
Navigating Social Media as a Public Servant
This course provides an introduction to engaging effectively and responsibly on social media platforms, and offers tips on using mindfulness and sound judgment in an open context. Participants will revisit the expected behaviours related to their professional values when using social media, and will have an opportunity to discuss the grey areas around navigating social media as a public servant.

Participants will explore the benefits of having a proper change control process and learn how to create a communications plan and deal with conflicts that may arise throughout a project.

Network Security Threats and Their Impact
This online self-paced course investigates the most common types of network security threats, including how to prevent them and how to detect them if your system is breached. Participants will learn about the importance of stopping hackers from accessing vital data by addressing system weaknesses that can be exploited by potential attackers.
