This online self-paced course provides an overview of building operations and maintenance practices, with a focus on corrective, preventive and predictive infrastructure requirements. Participants will learn about the benefits of a well-run operations and maintenance (O&M) program, and how to overcome barriers to making O&M an organizational priority.

Optimizing Energy Performance of Existing Buildings
This online self-paced course presents the four guiding principles for optimizing the energy performance of buildings: metering, benchmarking, energy efficiency, and renewable and clean energy. Participants will review best practices for achieving high energy performance in their buildings and learn about the software tools and other resources available to gradually build towards peak performance.

Organizations Change So Get Ready
This online self-paced course outlines three specific types of organizational change and examines the common reactions to change in the workplace, including the different stages people go through when dealing with it. Participants will benefit from receiving a clear overview of what organizational change is, the events that can trigger it, and what to expect when dealing with change at any level.

Organizing Business Data with Data Modelling
This online self-paced course explores the benefits of data modelling, outlining its main characteristics and the styles, levels and models most commonly used. Participants will learn how data models are built and how to use data modelling to create detailed data blueprints to improve their organization's daily operations.

Orientation and Self-Discovery for Managers
This course consists of two virtual sessions to help registrants prepare for their participation in the virtual edition of the Manager Development Program (MDPv). Participants will learn how to optimize their learning experience as it unfolds over the subsequent months and assess their personality traits in advance of the actual program.

This course provides an orientation for newly appointed ADMs to explore the expectations placed upon them and to strengthen their strategic leadership capabilities by sharing best practices with other experienced senior leaders. Participants will acquire the knowledge they need to transition to their new roles and to develop best practices for leading their organizations forward towards achieving excellence for Canadians.

Orientation for Directors General
This orientation course leverages the collective strengths of the DG community and the support of other senior leaders to help build personal strategies for navigating the evolving complexities of being a director general in the public service. Participants will learn how to enhance their decision making by drawing from the experience of their peers and the senior leaders and subject matter experts within their professional networks.

Orientation to the Public Service
This course orients new public servants to the fundamentals of working in the federal public service and provides tools to help them situate their role and make the most of learning and networking opportunities. Participants will learn the importance of respecting values and ethics and how to use professional development opportunities to help them succeed in their new career.
